Physical Integrity: This building has good physical integrity and does not appear to have been substantially altered since its construction, except for periodic expansion by means of additions of unknown age. The building retains integrity of location, setting, design, workmanship and materials. It also retains integrity of feeling and association and would be easily recognizable by a historical contemporary. However, the building has been abandoned for some time and is need of repair. the additions appear to be at least 50 years of age.

National Register Status: This building is considered to be eligible to the National Resister of Historic Places under Criteria A and C. It was Cheyenne's first electrical generating plant and is therefore associated with the early history of Cheyenne's utilities (Criteria A), and is represents a rather unique style of the 19th century industrial architecture, that is, a building designed and engineered for a specific function (Criteria C).

Management Recommendations: This building is considered eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. As such, it should be formally nominated and enrolled in the National Register of Historical Places in the future as an individual building or as part of a warehouse district. This building would also be a good candidate for adaptive reuse in order to preserve it in some form. This building was surveyed for the Cheyenne Historic Preservation Board as part of an expanded West Side Survey due to the prevalence of expansion in the direction for the downtown area. At this time, there are no known projects that would indirectly or directly impact or threaten this property.
